Summary
- No ads, no analytics and no tracking, in the app or on this website.
- Favorites, watch history and settings stay on your TV.
- Playlists you add on this website are stored encrypted on our server, only so we can deliver them to your TV.
- We never sell or share your data. You can delete it yourself at any time.
Who we are
Rojava IPTV Player is developed by Rezan Rasoul, who is responsible for the data described here. Contact: developer@rojava-iptv.org.
Rojava IPTV Player is a media player only. It does not include, provide or sell any channels, streams, playlists or other content.
Data stored on your TV
These are stored only on your TV and are never sent to us:
- favorites, watch positions and recently opened categories,
- language and player settings.
The TV also keeps a copy of your playlists so it can connect to the IPTV service you chose. Uninstalling the app removes all of this. Clear favorites and watch history in Settings removes favorites and watch positions.
Data we store when you use "Add from website"
If you choose Playlists → Add from website on the TV, we store the following on our server:
- the MAC address of your TV and a random 6-digit device key created by the app,
- the playlists you add on this website (name, server address, username, password or M3U link),
- when the TV was registered and when it last connected,
- for security, failed login attempts (MAC address, IP address and time).
We use this data only to deliver your playlists to your TV and to protect your account against guessing attacks. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or analytics.
If you are in the EU/EEA, we process this data to provide the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We process the failed-login records to keep the service secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Security
- All connections to this website use HTTPS.
- Passwords and playlist links are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM).
- After too many wrong attempts, logins are blocked for 15 minutes.
- When the app creates a new device key, all playlists stored for the old key are deleted.
How long we keep data
- Failed login attempts: deleted automatically after 24 hours at the latest.
- Your TV and its playlists: kept until you delete them. You can delete them in any of the ways below.
Your choices and rights
- Edit or delete your playlists at any time on this website.
- Remove this TV on the "My playlists" page deletes your TV and all its playlists from our server immediately.
- Creating a new device key on the TV also deletes the playlists stored for it on our server.
- You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data at developer@rojava-iptv.org. We answer within 30 days.
- If you are in the EU/EEA, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
This website uses a session cookie only while you are logged in to manage your playlists. It is needed for the login to work, and it is deleted when you log out or close the browser. If you choose a language, a "lang" cookie remembers it for one year. Your choice of day or night mode is saved only in your browser. We use no advertising, analytics or third-party cookies.
Third parties
We do not share your data with anyone. Your playlists connect directly from your TV to the IPTV provider you chose, and their privacy policy applies to that service. Samsung's own privacy policy applies to your TV and the Samsung app store.
Children
Rojava IPTV Player is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
